Delicious Akara (video)


  • 500g of Queens Bean Flour
  • 2 medium sized onions
  • 3 pcs of atarodo (habanero pepper) adjust to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Seasoning (optional)
  • 62.5cl of water (that is equivalent of one sachet of 50cl pure water plus a quarter) for blending the ingredients and mixing the flour
  • Oil depending on the size of your pan but enough for deep frying


  1. Blend your pepper and onions with part of the measured water
  2. Empty the content of one 500g pack of Queens Bean Flour into a clean bowl
  3. Add the blended pepper and onions into the bowl and gently add the remaining part of the measured water mixing thoroughly as you pour it
  4. Leave to rest for about 25- 30mins to absorb the water
  5. Add salt and seasoning to taste
  6. Deep fry.
